About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role involves performing hands-on maintenance and repair of quarry plant equipment to support safe, continuous operations. The mechanic will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues involving conveyors, crushers, screens, and fixed plant systems, and execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to repair and modify equipment and structures. Additionally, the role includes conducting preventive maintenance inspections and completing corrective actions to reduce downtime, while collaborating with operations and maintenance team members and adhering to all safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated capability in industrial mechanical maintenance within a quarry, mining, or heavy industrial setting
• Strong working knowledge of welding, cutting, and metal fabrication techniques
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and apply effective mechanical solutions
• Consistent commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a plant environment
• Capacity to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced operation

Responsibilities
