About The Position

S&W Ready Mix Concrete, a subsidiary of Titan America LLC, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician/Low-Boy Operator for the Castle Hayne area. This role involves repairing and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment in concrete plant facilities, as well as safely operating a Low-Boy trailer to transport heavy equipment like excavators, backhoes, and lifts. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Previous dump truck and lowboy experience.
Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
Able to safely drive a flat bed and/or other commercial vehicles as required within driver license guidelines and with the required driver’s license endorsements.
Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling.
Previous welding and fabrication experience.
Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-5 years of relevant work experience.
Must not be limited to Intrastate travel/hauling only.
Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, DOT physical, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report.

Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Repair and maintain machinery, including electronic and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, plumbing systems, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant equipment.
Safely load and secure equipment to be moved from one location to another with the Low-Boy.
Follow established traffic patterns, avoid hazards, and promptly report any unsafe conditions.
Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment and in the plant.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports.
Check haul truck vehicle fluids and add fluids as necessary.
Grease the truck as required.
Operate the truck and trailer to transport materials and heavy equipment to and from job sites.
Communicate clearly and listen attentively.
