About The Position

Picture your day starting at 7am on a 2-2-3 rotation. You walk the floor, listen to the hum of thermo-formers and trim presses, and make sure every panel, drive, and motor is set up for a safe, productive shift. As the Plant Maintenance Electrician, you’re the go-to pro keeping extrusion lines, crystallizers, dryers, and general building power reliable—so production meets quality, safety, and legal standards without missing a beat.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on electrical experience in an industrial setting.
Skill in troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits and the ability to read schematics/blueprints.
Ability to operate a Lift/Scissor Truck.
Clear, effective communication with managers and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with electrical components on thermo-formers, extruders, crystallizers, and dryers.

Responsibilities

Own safety from the first task to the last: follow Standard Work and Safety Policies including Lockout/Tagout, Critical Safety Rules, plant and department rules, PPE, MSDS policies and procedures, and fire protection system alarms—plus correct startup and shutdown of all equipment.
Handle work orders end-to-end, documenting each job according to procedure.
Diagnose issues across the facility and zero in on root causes quickly.
Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls, single- and three‑phase circuits, electronic drives, and PLC control systems.
Install conduit and execute machine wiring, including motors up to 600 hp and larger motor installations.
Fabricate and mount brackets, electrical boxes, and disconnects as needed.
Inspect, test, and clean AC/DC motors; replace brushes when required.
Perform preventive maintenance on thermo-formers, trim presses, extrusion equipment, and supporting systems.
Coach teammates on electrical topics and provide training sign‑offs.
Contribute wherever needed—other duties as assigned.
