About The Position

The Plant Loader Operator operates a wheel loader for daily operations in a concrete plant and/or gravel pit on an as-needed basis to manufacture concrete and aggregate products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. This role is crucial for the production of concrete and aggregate products and requires a commitment to safety and collaboration.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent education.
  • 1+ years working in concrete and/or aggregate production.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, pour or carry heavy objects and loads of material.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to move materials.
  • Ability to climb in, out, and under equipment; lay or stand under equipment.
  • Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
  • Ability to quickly move arms and legs.
  • Possess excellent stamina to work between 8-12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

  • Operates wheel loader for daily operations in concrete plant and/or gravel pit.
  • Manufactures concrete and aggregate products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
  • Assists in concrete and aggregate production.
  • Monitors and sorts incoming aggregates.
  • Performs preventive maintenance.
  • Communicates effectively with plant operator about problems, potential issues, or schedule difficulties.
  • Collaborates with co-workers and other employees.
  • Promotes and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Exhibits safe work behaviors; evaluates work area for hazards and eliminates or controls them.
  • Wears all prescribed PPE.
  • Maintains excellent housekeeping.
  • Participates in daily safety huddles and safety training.
  • Follows safe work plans.
  • Reads and understands hazard signs, training materials, work plans, and instruction manuals.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Plant Manager.
  • Continuously grows in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
