About The Position

Original Composites and Fibers is seeking an accomplished Plant Leader to provide overall leadership for the Amarillo manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Americas Operations Director, this role owns site performance and the plant MGL and establishes the strategies, standards, operating practices, and organizational capability required to achieve best-in-class performance. The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader who creates an injury-free workplace, advances operational excellence, serves customers, develops talent, and delivers strong operational and financial performance. This leader will collaborates across the organization and represents the company in the Amarillo community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a plant operations leadership role.
  • Manufacturing leadership experience with responsibility for safety, operations, people, and performance delivery.
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional work outside of manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and promoting talent.
  • Strong business and financial acumen and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Engineering or technical background preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a large, complex, continuous-process or comparable industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience advancing operational excellence, reliability, and loss elimination.
  • Experience leading organizational or operational transformation and developing capital strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety, security, and environmental performance by creating and sustaining a safe and secure work environment, reinforcing safe behaviors, allocating resources for zero injuries, using performance measures to drive improvement, and operating with zero environmental non-conformities.
  • Lead operational excellence through disciplined operating systems targeting zero injuries, zero defects, and zero losses, building standards and routines to improve reliability and sustain manufacturing performance.
  • Continuously build insight into the business, markets, customers, and strategy, creating an environment where employees are engaged, empowered, and focused on serving customers, and developing customer relationships.
  • Lead with a clear view of the organization's future direction, translating it into practical priorities, communicating strategy and objectives, setting clear performance expectations, leading the annual operating plan and capital budget, and aligning resources to business strategy.
  • Own the plant MGL and make sound operating, resource, and investment decisions that improve business performance, balancing safety, quality, service, cost, people, reliability, and long-term capability.
  • Build a positive, creative, diverse, and collaborative workplace where employees own the success of the business, selecting and training employees, providing tools and systems, and empowering people.
  • Create an environment where talent is developed and employees can realize their full potential, building a capable and diverse team, and developing succession depth.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Commercial, and Technical teams to align priorities, resolve constraints, and deliver business and customer commitments, partnering across the integrated supply chain and manufacturing network, and sharing best practices.
