About The Position

This position supports the Plant Leader by leading team members throughout the retread manufacturing plant, driving performance in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role works directly across all retread technician stations, ensuring smooth, consistent plant operations during the assigned shift. Assist the Plant Leader with daily plant operations, production goals, staffing needs, and overall workflow. Work throughout the retread process as needed, including casing inspection, buffing, repairs, building, curing, and final inspection. Identify and correct tire issues, including wrong treads, mislabeled tires, barcode errors, incorrect transfers, and missing casings. Help train and develop plant employees while reinforcing performance expectations and maintaining a productive work environment. Maintain accurate information in BASys and ensure tires and products are properly organized and stored. Support a safe and professional workplace by following safety procedures, using proper PPE, communicating effectively, and filling in for leadership when needed.

Requirements

Must be able to coach, develop, and hold others accountable for performance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to stand, kneel and crawl while operating equipment and tools.
Must also be at least 18 years old.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.

Nice To Haves

1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in tire or automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of retreading processes and Bandag systems preferred.
