About The Position

Will perform general laboring, maintenance, and cleaning tasks at Fort McDowell Yavapai Materials (FMYM) facilities. Essential functions may include various tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
• Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing 50-75 pounds.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Able to complete initial MSHA training.
• Must wear suitable work attire including safety-toed boots.
• Exposure to extreme dust and heat.
• Able to drive a standard transmission vehicle.

• Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboring tasks including shoveling material as needed.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash both in buildings and on the grounds.
• Perform minor repair jobs, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks of equipment and structures including, but not limited to, cleaning and greasing.
• Remove weeds and clip brush on the grounds.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
