The Plant IV Tire Room Setup Tech will be responsible for setting up and adjusting Passenger Tire building machines. This includes performing machine checks, alignment, identification and storage of tooling items, and minor machine maintenance. The role requires using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to set up, detect, adjust, and correct equipment. Key duties involve making drum changes and adjustments, auditing and overseeing the building of the first tires after changes, and monitoring machine efficiency. The technician will troubleshoot and adjust assigned machines to reduce downtime, maintain daily records of machine activities, and communicate any malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisors and management. Routine scheduled M.T.C. checks and corrections are also part of the responsibilities, along with performing other duties as directed and ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. This role may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.
