The Plant IV Curing Setup Tech will be responsible for setting up and making mold changes for Passenger Truck Tire Curing Presses. This includes the removal and installation of all bladders, cleaning and drilling venting in molds, and making minor adjustments to presses as needed. The role may also involve assisting with spraying and loading of Passenger Tire Presses. The technician must be proficient in making mold and bladder changes, installing recipes, building and tearing down bladders, drilling and cleaning molds, and maintaining data input. Additionally, the technician will perform minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, chase scrap, conduct first tire and first bag checks, and perform squeeze, cure cycle, and cure temperature audits. Serial changes in molds are also a key responsibility. The technician must adhere to all plant policies, environmental policies, and safety policies, and be certified to operate a forklift. Effective communication with other set up techs, curing supervision, press operators, and supplying departments is essential. The role requires following standard practices to ensure quality and quantity production, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, and performing other duties as directed by supervision. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a critical aspect of the job.
