The Plant IV Curing Setup Tech will set up and make mold changes for Passenger Truck Tire Curing Presses. This role involves the removal and installation of all bladders, cleaning and drilling of venting in molds, and making minor adjustments to presses as needed. The technician will also assist with spraying and loading of Passenger Tire Presses. Key responsibilities include making mold and bladder changes, installing recipes, building and tearing down bladders, drilling and cleaning molds, and maintaining data input. The role also requires making minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, chasing scrap, performing first tire and first bag checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, cure temperature audits, and serial changes in molds. The Plant IV Curing Setup Tech must follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies, and must be certified to operate a Forklift through the Safety Department. Effective communication with other set up techs, curing supervision, and curing press operators, as well as supplying departments, is essential. The technician will follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly. Other duties may be assigned by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a key function.
