Snack Innovations is a fast-growing consumer packaged goods company with a passion for better-for-you snacking and the parent brand behind Drizzilicious, Natural Endurance, Smart Fries, and Sunday Snacks. Operating as both a private label manufacturer and direct-to-consumer snack brand innovator, we’re rapidly expanding and looking for driven, entrepreneurial people to grow with us. Role Overview The Plant Human Resources Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership for all Human Resources functions within the manufacturing facility. Serving as a trusted partner to plant leadership, this role is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture while leading employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, employee development, and engagement initiatives. The Plant Human Resources Manager helps align HR strategies with business objectives to support operational excellence and a high-performing workforce. The ideal candidate is a collaborative HR professional who enjoys spending time on the production floor, building relationships with employees at all levels, and helping leaders develop high-performing teams. This individual will balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to support a positive workplace culture and drive operational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to effectively coach leaders through challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience recruiting both hourly manufacturing employees and salaried professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Prior payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for plant employees and leadership.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Investigate employee concerns and workplace issues, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely resolution.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support recruiting efforts for the manufacturing plant, including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process.
  • Coordinate interviews, hiring decisions, and employment offers.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Coach leaders on performance expectations, feedback, and accountability.
  • Support performance review processes and employee development planning.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and support leadership and employee development initiatives.
  • Promote internal growth and succession planning efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including New Jersey employment regulations.
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures while ensuring consistent application.
  • Partner with Safety and Operations on workers' compensation, leave administration, and return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to support business decisions.
  • Participate in organizational planning, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Help drive continuous improvement through people-focused solutions.
