About The Position

Lindy Paving is seeking a dependable and hands-on Plant Technician / General Laborer to support daily operations at our Edinburg, PA asphalt production facility. This role involves working throughout the plant, including loading and unloading materials, performing routine maintenance, and learning asphalt production processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build long-term skills in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment
• Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Basic mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience a plus
• Must have correctable vision with reasonably good night vision.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs. occasionally and /or 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.
• Requires manual dexterity and ability to bend, twist, turn, stretch, squat, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in elevated, enclosed and sometimes hazardous areas in changing weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing, plant, construction, or industrial setting
• Forklift, loader, or heavy equipment experience (training may be provided)
• Mechanical, electrical, or maintenance background
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials, supplies, and finished products
• Assist with day-to-day plant operations and material handling
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic mechanical tasks
• Support production activities and learn asphalt manufacturing processes
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery under supervision
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and plant policies
• Assist other plant personnel as needed
