About The Position

The Plant Engineering and Automation Manager is responsible for leading the team in a way that will foster the desired culture and environment, along with responsibility in all aspects of Plant Engineering, Drafting, Automation, Electronics, Construction Services, General Maintenance, facilities and HVAC. The Plant Engineering and Automation Manager has the task of ensuring the provision of engineering and capital projects for our production units. Responsibility for site planning and development. Support for safety, regulatory, and PSM programs. In matters relating to site infrastructure the Plant Engineering and Automation Manager works closely with various functions including GTP’s Environmental and Safety Department to ensure installations are complying and regulatory requirements with public authorities, government agencies and local residents. Ownership with support staff of Plant Engineering, Drafting, Automation, Electronics, Construction services, General Maintenance, facilities and HVAC. Accountability of the Engineering, Drafting, Automation, Electronics Department, Construction Services, General Maintenance, facilities and HVAC for technical and equipment support to the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred) and/or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience in a technology-driven, heterogeneous industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in a role such as that described above.
  • Strong social skills with an assertive personality.
  • Considerable experience in managing highly qualified engineers and experts from different disciplines.
  • Experience in planning and implementing large-scale investment projects.
  • Capable of coordinating complex, enterprise-wide processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DEP, and PSM regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
