Within the framework of a project execution environment, the Plant Engineer ensures that project documentation is properly controlled, distributed, and organized using Air Liquide systems. This role operates within contractual requirements, focusing on quality, schedule, and overall cost-effectiveness to meet project objectives. The Plant Engineer provides engineering support to Zone operations, assists Plant Managers with technical and operational issues, and participates in the investigation of operational incidents, developing corrective and preventive actions. They are involved in the creation, updates, and reviews of PHAs, P&IDs, MOCs, and SOPs. Additionally, the role involves creating, reviewing, and approving job plans in Maximo to enhance efficiency and reliability, and managing minor projects such as upgrades, retrofits, and plant improvements/expansions. This includes developing designs, cost estimates, and economic justifications, generating Authorization for Capital Expenditure (ACE) requests, and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and within-budget completion. As an Operations Representative, the Plant Engineer participates in the design and execution phases of new Corporate level projects to address operational concerns during design, construction, and commissioning. They promote compliance with regulations and Group directives, participate in HSE-related incident investigations, and periodically audit plants for compliance with FDA, Safety, and Environmental regulations. The role also involves participating in Quality and Accident Risk Assessments and championing Air Liquide safety, technical, and quality procedures.
