Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering preferred).
  • 1+ years of related experience in a U.S. based facility; CPG or High-Speed Packaging environment preferred.
  • Open to high-potential new graduates with relevant internship experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Whys, FMEA, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, thermoforming, cartoning, or palletizing technology is a significant plus.
  • Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel), AutoCAD.
  • An "owner’s mindset" with a passion for mentorship on the floor.
  • Must be able to translate complex engineering data into actionable insights for frontline operators.
  • 10% Travel (Variable based on project phase and equipment FATs).
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Sponsorship is not available.
  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date).
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months.
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Solidworks or Revit is highly desirable for plant layout optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary change agent on the factory floor, utilizing Lean, RCA, and engineering design to optimize throughput in packaging.
  • Support starting up a new facility, identifying bottlenecks in real-time and implementing immediate corrective actions.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of factory-led capital projects, specifically focusing on packaging automation, material handling, and CPG-specific equipment upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse, Safety, and Quality to ensure that Continuous Improvement initiatives align with Factory Goals.
  • Lead the bidding and selection process for equipment vendors, ensuring specialized packaging machinery meets rigorous value, quality, and "speed-to-market" requirements.
  • Ensure all plant layouts and process designs adhere to USDA, and OSHA standards—critical for maintaining food safety.
  • Utilize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics to justify equipment investments and process changes.
