We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our maintenance team in Mitchell, SD.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrician degree or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program
  • 5 years’ experience working as an electrician or technician; manufacturing experience, a plus
  • Advanced understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, safety systems, blueprints, and maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand and/or move on feet for up to 12 hours per day, longer if required due to projects or breakdowns
  • Constant bending, lift, turning and/or twisting
  • Ability to perform safety-sensitive position

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SCADA or PLC Programming, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, repair, and replace electrical equipment and components
  • Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives
  • Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements regarding environmental, and food/feed safety
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, low/hire voltage, and lighting systems
  • Read and understand technical diagrams and blue prints
  • Perform general and preventative electrical maintenance
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
  • Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers
  • Understand basic HVAC systems and well as various testing equipment
  • Communicate any accidents, threats, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Complex Manager
  • Assist other maintenance or production personnel as needed or requested
