About The Position
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Plant Driver to work at our Whitesville Mill Services location in Crawfordsville, IN. The Plant Driver operates a truck for the purpose of transporting and delivering various types of materials or equipment between operations and repair facilities or throughout the mill.
Requirements
- Knowledge of equipment (e.g., engine, hydraulic component, tires, etc.)
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic Communication skills
Responsibilities
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections along with routine greasing, oiling and fueling
- Load, unload and transports materials
- Ensures truck is properly loaded
- Proceeds to scale to be weighted and received paperwork
- Monitors changes in truck performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance personnel
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
- Complies with all safety regulations and policies
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
