About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Plant Designer to support its Oak Ridge, Tennessee office. The role participates in the plant design process, including developing design calculations with standard and advanced analysis techniques such as finite element analysis (FEA), design drawings, and construction specifications for steel, concrete, and masonry structures. The designer will also develop piping systems and equipment layouts using SmartPlant 3D or similar BIM tools and contribute to infrastructure projects across the United States. The role works with piping, structural, and civil engineering teams to coordinate specifications, stress-analysis support locations, pipe supports, and underground interfaces.
