About The Position

Provides administrative and office support to the plant, including scheduling of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory, and production schedules. This role requires a high degree of initiative and flexibility, with the ability to multi-task and accurately prepare and maintain all area paperwork. The Plant Coordinator will communicate any issues pertaining to report discrepancies in a timely manner and maintain professional working relationships with other plant management, customers, and vendors. Additionally, the role involves delivering mixing ingredients via truck from the dry goods area to the processing plant, and picking and palletizing ingredients, moving them to the truck using a forklift. The position also requires practicing GMPs and supporting audits, inspections, and compliance paperwork, along with regular and reliable attendance. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must be able to use a lift truck, electric and manual pallet jack.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Office specifically Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer knowledge of manufacturing and warehouse plant operations and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Report generation; update and configure weekly Excel reports and e-mail reports to support production team and maintain filing system.
  • Track batching vs. packaging variance and report progress. Track rework and products on hold.
  • Research variances and recommend procedures to improve variance.
  • Support the plant in accounting for packaging and ingredient usage.
  • Support the Warehouse on daily receiving and month end inventories.
  • Communicate with team any issues pertaining to report discrepancies in a timely manner and maintains a professional working relationship with other plant management, customers and vendors.
  • Deliver mixing ingredients via truck from dry goods area to processing plant.
  • Pick and palletize ingredients, moving to truck using a forklift.
  • Use the team approach in dealing with other supervisors and peers within the facility and respect the decisions made by them.
  • Practice GMP’s and support audits, inspections and compliance paperwork.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
