About The Position

The Plant Controller owns the financial performance of the manufacturing facility, providing financial reporting, cost analysis, P&L, and inventory oversight. The role serves as the key financial advisor to plant leadership and the primary link to corporate finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in a finance or accounting related role.
  • Controllership experience within manufacturing.
  • Professional experience within a global ERP system such as Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, data extraction, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a regulated industry, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete monthly analysis of balance sheet activity, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with corporate leadership, finance functions, suppliers, consultants, and other external partners.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, purchasing-related financial processes, and outsourced accounting activities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
  • Support federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements.
  • Manage inventory controls, product standard costing, material cost analysis, productivity reporting, and plant cost savings initiatives.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the site.
  • Prepare and analyze key financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
  • Review, approve, monitor, and control site cost center expenses to support financial objectives.
  • Review, maintain, and reconcile intercompany transactions, including in-transit shipments.
  • Resolve issues related to account balances, payments, inventory transactions, and financial discrepancies.
  • Supervise, maintain, and enforce internal controls in accordance with corporate policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support the Plant Director with new product introductions, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost reduction initiatives.
