About The Position

The Plant Controller will supervise and train the Accounting Assistant in processing payroll information and employee deductions, periodically auditing payroll data for accuracy. This role involves authorizing purchase requisitions and purchase orders, interfacing with corporate controllers on large purchases, and supervising the accounts payable function, including reviewing invoices and account charges. The Plant Controller will monitor invoices for correct Sales & Use Taxes, request bids, and evaluate quotes according to purchasing guidelines. Responsibilities also include developing new ways to computerize information and improve data management, interfacing with corporate Human Resources on benefits and personnel policies, calculating cost savings and paybacks, and initiating actions to prevent non-conformities related to product, processes, and the quality system. Additionally, the role involves developing Bills of Materials (BOM) in the PLEX Manufacturing Computer System and performing other assigned essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise & train Accounting Assistant in the processing of all payroll information & employee payroll deductions.
  • Periodically audit the payroll information for accuracy.
  • Authorize all purchase requisitions & purchase orders and interface with corporate controllers as needed on large purchases.
  • Supervise the accounts payable function & review all invoices & Account charges.
  • Monitor all invoices for correct accounting of Sales & Use Taxes.
  • Request various bids as needed in accordance with purchasing guidelines & evaluate all quotes.
  • Develop new ways to computerize information & improve data management.
  • Interface with corporate Human Resources personnel in the development & implementation of all benefits & personnel policies.
  • Calculate cost savings & paybacks.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, processes, and quality system.
  • Develop (BOM) Bill of Materials in Manufacturing Computer System - PLEX.
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.
