About The Position
Join a high-performance steel operation as the Plant Controller II, a key member of the mill leadership team. You’ll partner directly with operations to drive financial performance, improve cost accuracy, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced industrial environment. Relocation assistance within the U.S. This is a high-visibility position with direct impact on mill performance within a collaborative leadership environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–8 years of cost/general accounting experience in manufacturing (metals preferred).
- Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, and BI reporting experience.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and influence decision-making.
Nice To Haves
- CPA/CMA/CA a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead all plant financial reporting, including inventories, production, payroll, and payables.
- Analyze operating results and provide clear, actionable insights to improve performance.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and business planning for the mill.
- Ensure IFRS compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Partner with operations to validate material usage, production costs, and inventory accuracy.
- Lead and develop a local accounting team.
- Support capital projects and financial modeling.
