About The Position

The Plant Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing and procurement activities within a manufacturing environment. This role involves sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient inventory management. The buyer will work closely with various departments to support production needs and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with sourcing and supplier management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Experience working within MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
