About The Position

As a Plant Board Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Fort Stockton facility. From the control room, you'll monitor and optimize plant processes, respond to changing operating conditions, and work closely with field and maintenance teams to maximize production while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is an opportunity for an experienced board operator with DeltaV (or similar DCS) and gas plant experience to join a collaborative team where your expertise makes a direct impact every day. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of control room/board operator experience in a gas processing or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience operating DeltaV or a comparable DCS platform.
  • Ability to independently operate a complex control board with minimal supervision.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Working knowledge of plant operations, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CO₂ and cryogenic (Cryo) gas plant operations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control plant equipment and processes through centralized control boards and computer systems.
  • Operate and troubleshoot DeltaV or a similar Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • Monitor plant operations, ensuring proper flows, temperatures, pressures, and levels while recognizing operating deviations and taking corrective action.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues through the SCADA/Ignition system to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
  • Recognize equipment abnormalities and coordinate significant repairs with the maintenance team.
  • Work closely with field personnel to manage daily plant operations, including the disposal of up to 1,000,000 barrels of fluid per day.
  • Maintain accurate operating logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with maintenance personnel.
  • Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements to increase plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
