About The Position
Salem Media Group Minneapolis has an immediate opening for a Board Operator for our four station cluster. This role offers flexible scheduling, working approximately 10-15 hours per week, 2-3 days a week, making it ideal for students, creatives, retired ham operators, or anyone interested in broadcast/video operations. You will gain hands-on experience with live board engineering and voice tracking, and have opportunities for production work, audio editing, and learning from experienced radio professionals.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows-based computer systems.
- Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekends.
- Proven track record of reliability, attention to detail, and punctuality.
- A tech-savvy audio enthusiast who thrives under pressure.
- A dependable, detail-oriented self-starter who loves teamwork.
- Excited to work in a fun, fast-paced radio environment.

Responsibilities
- Produce live and recorded radio and video programs and podcasts
- Deliver live on-air weather updates with confidence.
- Record voice tracks for other programming
- Operate and engineer the live broadcast boards, keeping shows smooth and professional.
- Execute station formats to keep our listeners engaged.
- Maintain accurate program logs, edit live spots, and handle various production and commercial audio tasks.
