About The Position

The Plant Associate ensures waste is unloaded from vehicles, vehicles are decontaminated, and waste is properly staged for scanning and processing. The role performs these duties safely and productively. Work takes place in both indoor garage, shop, or gas plant conditions and outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, and humidity. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring strict compliance with safety rules and protocols. The employee may be subject to pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable-suspicion, and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Requirements

One year of experience, preferably in a plant environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow applicable health and safety directives, performance and conduct standards, policies, and procedures.

Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
Stage waste on the conveyor system or stack it appropriately for scanning in the Biotrack system.
Scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping.
Load autoclave bins or the incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
Place reusable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.
Operate the tub wash unit, verify it is functioning properly, remove and inspect clean tubs, and stack them for loading onto assigned vehicles for reuse.
Operate the tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs, verify it is functioning properly, and inspect and stack tubs for loading onto assigned vehicles for reuse.
Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas, reload assigned reusable tubs, ensure no free liquid remains on the cargo-area floor, and notify the plant supervisor when the vehicle is ready to leave the dock area.
Address housekeeping issues immediately, including cleaning spills, drying floors, and removing debris.
Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
