About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Planning Technician to join our Production Control team. This role supports job creation, production scheduling, inventory coordination, and cross-functional communication to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery. The Planning Technician works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and quality teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and has a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and principles. Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of production planning and inventory management principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and release jobs based on ERP system demand and production requirements.
  • Assist with daily ERP system transactions and clerical tasks.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material availability.
  • Manage and track manufacturing processes that involve outside vendor operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and production processes.
