About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Planning Supervisor, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Superintendent, Planning & Optimization, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of maintenance planning experience with two (2) years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma in management, mechanical technologist or a journeyperson certification in a relevant parts, equipment or maintenance trades.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto, CMMS).

Nice To Haves

  • preference will be given to those with experience working in a remote site with limited access to resources.
  • Enrollment in and progression towards the completion of the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term maintenance schedules for heavy equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Create maintenance forecast, coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Oversee short- and long-term maintenance plans and provide guidance to team members (Maintenance Planners, Tradespeople, Contractors) as necessary.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, and materials for scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including workforce, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance history to optimize service intervals.
  • Review work orders and make recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including reports and compliance documentation.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.
  • Develop a tracking program for long-term planning, budgeting, parts on order and available resources.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
