About The Position

The Planning Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production by managing the flow of materials into and out of the department. This entails activities such as planning and scheduling production on the floor. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability
• Possess skills required to improvise and adapt where needed
• Previous computer experience
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Cycle counting activities including researching variances and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Processing of non-conforming materials
• Processing production orders and movements in the system
• Data entry tasks of production records
• Creation of work instructions and process documents
• Maintain records and documentation
• Continuous improvement projects and tasks assigned
• Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
