And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.  Job SummaryMaterials Planning Manager will oversee the various aspects of daily planning operations and ensure that strategic material planning processes are in place to enable operational and production continuity in all production areas within the Kinston plant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee a team of Material planners and take overall responsibility for Service metrics including OTIF(P) and Lead times to our customers, Inventory metrics including Days of Supply/Inventory Turns and Cost metrics including Freight/Scrap/Obsolescence costs. Take ownership of material planning issues that arise including alignment between supply and demand plans. Lead daily meetings to address Potential Late customer orders and act as an escalation point for material concerns. Create and Implement Production plans for High Value processes in Kinston including Pharma Washing, Envision and Sterilization. Ensure production plans are aligned with External/Internal Customer ship dates. Design and implement Capacity utilization models to predict capacity concerns on a short to medium term plan. Act as liaison between Planning, manufacturing and customer success to manage production flows and ensure product supply to customer by expected ship dates. Ensure strategic and operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets departmental KPIs and drives for optimal supply chain Monitor production performance vs. plant and division goals, providing timely feedback to appropriate personnel. Utilize SAP, shop floor systems, Excel, and other information systems in the scheduling and planning of manufactured products. Lead continuous process improvement initiatives. Create a critical tasks backup matrix for various supply chain and planning positions and responsibilities as needed. Take overall responsibility for obsolete parts process and ensure minimum scrap due to expiration.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience working with business enterprise systems like SAP or SFS
  • High proficiency in MS Excel
  • Must have superior communication, organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills and be able to interface effectively with all departments; and must have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be willing and able to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to team members.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • cGMP knowledgeable
  • APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
