The Manager, Planning role is crucial for driving supply chain efficiency and operational excellence by leading production planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration, partnering internally and externally to achieve measurable business results aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning or production scheduling, with demonstrated hands‑on experience managing planning processes and executing production schedules
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain operations, including production planning, order fulfillment, KPI development, and performance management within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • A proven track record of driving Continuous Improvement initiatives within planning and/or operations, supported by a solid understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics, with hands‑on experience developing dashboards, metrics, and performance reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, paired with excellent organizational, problem‑solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Technical supply chain or commercial certification (e.g., APICS)
  • Experience preferably within pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments
  • Background in production, operations, or Operational Excellence
  • JDE experience preferred; experience with SAP or other ERP platforms a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership across Planning, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement (CI) functions
  • Partner with the Site Leadership Team to align planning and CI initiatives with business and site objectives
  • Prioritize and execute initiatives based on ROI, risk, and operational impact
  • Lead end-to-end production planning and customer order fulfillment, ensuring schedule integrity, data accuracy, and cost-effective delivery
  • Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., Schedule Adherence, Inventory Turns, Cost Savings) and report performance to Site Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team
  • Drive standardization, governance, and scalability of planning and supply chain processes
  • Lead cross-functional forums to resolve planning conflicts and protect the production plan
  • Champion a strong CI culture through Lean Six Sigma leadership, coaching, and training
  • Deliver sustained cost savings and performance improvements through data-driven CI initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned
