About The Position

The Planning & Execution Team Member III is responsible for the flow of work through the machine shop, oversees requests for outsourcing, and directs the work of other Planning & Execution Team Members. This role involves creating and releasing manufactured parts from MRP, scheduling work requests, and managing warranty requests. The position requires working with manufacturing to optimize machine shop capacity, leveling work centers, and routing engineering change notices. It also involves determining best machining practices, routing internal and external manufactured requests, and serving as a technical resource for manufacturing and customers. Developing quotes, routings, and lead-times for RGAs and communicating with customer service are key aspects. The role also includes training, coaching, and mentoring other Planning & Execution Team Members.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in machine tool/fabrication technology or a related field and five years of related experience, OR a high school diploma/GED and eight years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of raw material types and machining principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of machining processes such as chrome/nickel plating, hardening, and stress relieving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, XA and MRP.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy.

Responsibilities

  • Create and release manufactured parts out of MRP and schedules all work requests.
  • Schedule and expedite late releases and monitor changes to requests.
  • Release and schedule manufactured warranty requests.
  • Work in conjunction with manufacturing to optimize capacity in the machine shop for core work.
  • Level load all work centers in the machine shop.
  • Route and schedule engineering change notices.
  • Determine best machining practices and what can be reworked, then route and schedule internal and external manufactured requests.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing team and customers on manufactured parts.
  • Develop quotes, routings, and lead-times for all RGA’s and work with customer service on scheduling.
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers on the status of manufactured parts.
  • Train, coach, and mentor, and direct the work of other Planning & Execution Team Members.
