About The Position

MACT Health Board's mission is to improve the health status of the American Indian and Alaskan Native population by providing high-quality care through various services including Medical, Behavioral Health, Chiropractic, Dental, Optometry, Massage Therapy, and Women’s Health. This is a Full Time role in an administrative setting, providing planning and coordination support to the executive team. The Planning Coordinator will prepare agendas and packets for Finance meetings with the Board of Directors, coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and registrations for conferences, assist with event planning (locations, vendors, staff), help with budgeting, forecasting, or cost tracking related to plans, and handle correspondence, filing, and general coordination tasks related to events. The position requires an awareness and appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs, and the ability to deal effectively with Indian health organizations with tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness, and good judgment.

Requirements

  • One year of event coordinator experience or related experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Current BLS/ALS certificate
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
  • Awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs
  • Ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares agendas and packets for Finance meetings with Board of Directors
  • Coordinates travel arrangement, itineraries and registrations for staff related to conferences
  • Assists with event planning including but not limited to arranging locations, vendors and staff
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting or cost tracking related to plans
  • Handle correspondence, filing and general coordination tasks related to events
