About The Position

The Planning and Performance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting corporate planning and organizational performance measurement and reporting processes. This includes the coordination and development of the NRC Departmental Plan and Departmental Results Report, which are tabled in Parliament annually, and supports the implementation of the Risk and Compliance Process (RCP) in support of the NRC’s commitments to the Government. The PMAR team operates within the Policy, Strategy and Performance branch and the Planning and Performance Coordinator also supports the implementation of cross functional priorities related to stakeholder engagement and policy development. This opportunity is well-suited for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and flourishes in a team environment. The candidate should have excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to foster teamwork, problem-solve and take initiative.

Requirements

  • College diploma in business, economics, public administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in conducting analysis, synthesis and leveraging qualitative and quantitative information for the preparation of reports.
  • Experience in applying project management practices and utilizing tools to track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in building relationships and working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum of one year of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • University degree would be considered an asset.
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in corporate or business planning and reporting, and/or risk management.
  • Experience in engaging with Government of Canada central agencies.
  • Experience in developing and/or using data analytics and visualization tools.
