About The Position

The Department of Licensing (DOL) is seeking a detail-oriented Planning and Performance Analyst to join their Customer Relations Strategy and Innovation Team. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to division leadership, providing expert consultation on complex issues related to communication, policy, legislative implementation, and operations. The analyst will develop and deliver strategic communications, conduct thoughtful analysis, build partnerships, and advance policy implementation. The work directly impacts the ability to identify and remove potential barriers for Washington residents, strengthening the services provided to over 6 million residents annually.

Requirements

  • Nine (9) years of demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: Conducting research, Analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations, Conducting business analysis and developing requirements, Leading business projects, Managing business operations, Business policy development, Supervising.
  • The ability to understand and follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion through behaviors, and decisions.

  • Eight (8) years of analyzing and researching qualitative and quantitative data to develop reports, dashboards, and summaries for consumption for intended audiences.
  • Eight (8) years of project management or leading projects to include creating project plans, managing goals and timelines, constraints, risks, identifying outcomes and assignments, and communicating statuses and operational changes to staff at all levels of an organization.
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite Products – Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint to create, compose, and edit written and illustrated materials, correspondents, reports, and spreadsheets.

  • Experience working on behalf of an organization within the state legislative process to develop agency request legislation, decision packages, and facilitate implementations.
