Free People Planning and Allocation Intern
About The Position
Free People is looking for a Planning & Allocation Intern to join them for the Summer. The Planning and Allocation intern will help maximize sales and manage inventory to achieve financial objectives for the division while partnering cross-functionally with all counterpart teams. The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at their Home Office in Philadelphia, PA. This paid internship program offers a summer full of intern-focused events, including exposure to senior leadership, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and the opportunity to interview for a full-time position.
Requirements
- Passionate about retail and ecommerce planning and eager to learn new skills.
- Expert command of retail math concepts and applications.
- Strong statistical analysis skills.
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Work in synergy with Buying and Merchandising toward common goals for the merchandise area.
- Support planning counterparts with reporting and operational functions needed within the division.
- Assist in developing style-level plans based on current forecast, historic trend and test information for key items or attributes.
- Help allocate merchandise for one or more departments.
- Participate in OTB, Strategy, and Hindsight meetings, contributing input on distribution strategies.
- Weekly reporting on company sales and trending.
- Tracking styles on-order and turnover units.
