About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Planner to support a government contract at Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida. The Planner supports site operations and maintenance planning and scheduling activities. The role develops job plans, deliverables, and estimates for maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring materials and tools are available, the appropriate craft and skill levels are identified, plans adequately describe the work, and applicable safety requirements are identified before work begins. The Planner coordinates recurring and non-recurring maintenance with facility supervisors and managers, site maintenance personnel, government representatives, subcontractors, and team members. Supported facilities include office, industrial, and warehouse facilities at Naval Station Mayport, Marine Corps Support Facility–Blount Island, and outlying areas. The role also reviews proposal specifications and drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and prepares conceptual, incomplete-plan, and final estimates. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Compensation is listed as $75,000. Requirements

Two years of college or vocational training in an area of specialty desired, or five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling five years.
Planning experience in more than one of the following fields: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Utility Systems, High Voltage Electricity, Carpentry, or Painting.
Knowledge of estimating and cost control.
Knowledge of estimating with P&ID drawings.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel.
Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, estimating techniques, scheduling, project delivery, and cost control.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
U.S. citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Responsibilities

Support site operations and maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
Develop job plans, deliverables, and estimates for maintenance and repair tasks.
Ensure materials and tools are available, appropriate craft and skill levels are identified, job plans adequately identify required work, and safety requirements are identified before work begins.
Understand the interrelationships of trades and sequence work appropriately in a multi-craft environment.
Coordinate recurring and non-recurring maintenance with facility supervisors and managers, site maintenance personnel, government representatives, and subcontractors.
Work with team members to provide schedules and estimates for facilities maintenance projects at Naval Station Mayport, Marine Corps Support Facility–Blount Island, and supported outlying areas.
Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine work scope and estimate requirements.
Prepare conceptual estimates, estimates based on incomplete plans, and estimates to carry work through to final estimates.
Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Fulfill applicable safety training and self-aid/buddy-aid responsibilities and participate in emergency response tasks and safety committees or teams as appropriate.
Comply with Amentum’s Quality Policy, applicable quality system documents, customer contracts, and job-related operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
