About The Position

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Planner/ Work Activity Coordinator in Seadrift (TX). The Planner/Work Activity Coordinator has the primary responsibility for ensuring that maintenance work is carried out safely in an effective and efficient manner following the appropriate work processes. The maintenance needs of a production facility change rapidly due to the dynamic environment that exists in manufacturing. The Planner/Work Activity Coordinator is the Focal Point for Operations to utilize to efficiently address these changing maintenance needs. This person works with both Diamond and Contract personnel, utilizing their knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage the maintenance needs of the maintenance department supported plants. This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of supervision/some type of industrial maintenance leadership experience, Planning or Work coordination experience.
  • Experience in an industrial maintenance or craft role.
  • Working within a maintenance organization.
  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews job packages and prepares to do the task.
  • Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed. Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
  • Reassigns person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
  • Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed. Closes work order.
  • Spends time in field to accurately assess and plan repair work that is not archived
  • Streamlines plans to safely and effectively perform repairs
  • Creates job packages with all the necessary documents as determined by Best Practice
  • Actively participates and leverages within the Planner network
  • Utilizes Internet search capabilities to locate and identify spare parts for ordering
  • Works with site Materials Management Department for ordering parts
  • Uses good verbal and written communications skills
