About The Position

The Planner, Water Resources supports the development of stormwater management plans and comprehensive planning frameworks related to water resources, surface water, and drainage. This position prepares and coordinates technical and regulatory documentation and collaborates with internal teams, clients, watersheds, and other agencies to advance water resources projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental studies, environmental science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • 1-5 years of experience in Planning and/or Water Resources, or related fields.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
  • Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support stormwater management plans.
  • Develop water resources, surface water, and drainage frameworks for comprehensive plans.
  • Compile, write, edit, and maintain technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memoranda, and other project documentation.
  • Review and update ordinances related to stormwater and water resources.
  • Coordinate with internal groups, clients, watersheds, and other agencies on water resources projects.
  • Assist with the development of permits for watersheds and other agencies.
  • Depending on experience and assignment, plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to support completion within established schedules and budgets.
  • As responsibilities expand, lead work teams and multiple complex projects; identify project opportunities; develop project approaches; support or lead proposals; track budgets and schedules; and assist with securing work from new and existing clients.
  • May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
