Entergy's Power Generation group operates a vast fleet of power plants and is expanding its capacity. This position, Planner/Scheduler Coordinator or Planner/Scheduler Coordinator Sr., focuses on managing the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the plant. The role involves procuring materials, securing manpower, and scheduling activities in accordance with Entergy's maintenance management process, while also maintaining store room inventory, managing budgets, performing long-range planning for outages, and handling contract management. This position can be filled at different levels based on candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Planner/Scheduler Coordinator: 4-6 years’ experience.
  • Planner/Scheduler Coordinator Sr: 6+ years’ experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ Hands on work experience in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance.
  • Leadership experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all maintenance planning activities to ensure correct materials and manpower resources are available to support preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and fault-finding activities prior to them being scheduled.
  • Manages, prioritizes, and schedules all maintenance activities at the plant.
  • Builds weekly maintenance schedules, manages the maintenance backlog and identifies any emergency break-in work that requires immediate attention.
  • Maintains the work maintenance system (AIMM) for the plant.
  • Ensures all outstanding work is documented with a current work request detailing the required scope of work.
  • Ensures all completed work requests are closed out showing a detailed description of work completed and man hours logged against each task.
  • Manages all day-to-day storeroom activities.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory levels and supports all audits and statistical inventory counts in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley rulings.
  • Performs long range planning for outage preventive/corrective maintenance task and for auxiliary outage projects.
  • Develops outage work schedules and manages all contracts, contractors and budgets associated with this work.
  • Manages multiple annual maintenance contracts for the plant.
  • Schedules contractors to perform work and manages all associated budgets.
  • Manages the plant VRC process to secure resources for outage support.
  • Serves as a back-up to Process Owner when needed.
