Planner III

LIFE SCIENCE OUTSOURCING INCSomersworth, NH
Onsite

About The Position

At Life Science Outsourcing (LSO), we are a trusted partner to leading medical device companies, delivering high-quality, life-saving products in a regulated, fast-paced environment. As demand from our medical customers continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Planner III to own the production schedule, partner directly with customers, and keep our manufacturing operation running on time, in full, and in compliance. If you thrive at the intersection of customers, operations, and supply chain and translating demand into a workable production plan, anticipating risk before it becomes a fire drill, and communicating clearly under pressure, this is an opportunity to drive measurable impact on patients, customers, and the bottom line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Deacom or similar preferred)
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with FDA and ISO quality systems
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing supply chain responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external customers
  • Calm and clear under pressure — you turn shifting priorities into a workable plan, not a panic
  • Ownership mindset; you treat customer commitments as personal commitments
  • Cross-functional collaborator who builds trust with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and customers alike
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through; you close the loop on every escalation
  • Curious problem-solver who looks for root cause, not just the next workaround

Nice To Haves

  • APICS / CPIM certification (or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and inventory targets
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure material and capacity availability
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or priority changes
  • Lead weekly production reviews with the Operations team, providing clear status updates and recovery plans
  • Act as the primary operations contact for assigned medical customers
  • Communicate order status, lead times, and delivery commitments clearly and proactively
  • Manage customer demand changes, expedite requests, and escalations through to resolution
  • Participate in customer meetings, performance reviews, and demand planning discussions
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules
  • Identify supply risks early and support mitigation strategies before they impact the line
  • Coordinate with logistics to align shipping schedules with customer delivery commitments
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters in ERP systems — demand forecasts, lead times, safety stock
  • Analyze demand trends, capacity constraints, and production performance to inform decisions
  • Generate reports on schedule adherence, backlog, and customer service levels
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, efficiency, and customer responsiveness
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Participate in cross-functional problem-solving on supply chain and production issues

Benefits

  • Stable, full-time work with a growing medical device manufacturer
