As a Planner II, you will perform professional-level urban planning duties, including case research, data collection, and analysis for processing site plans, plats, permit reviews, rezoning requests, and variances. This role has a strong focus on development review consistency and historic preservation within the City of Richmond. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of integrity, fosters transparency, and effectively collaborates with city departments, developers, and the community to implement the City's long-term vision.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of professional municipal or regional planning experience (the required years may scale based on the level of educational background).
Must be able to work independently without supervision.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Active membership in the American Planning Association (APA) and eligibility/progress toward AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certification.
