The Planner II will lead strategic procurement, planning, and supply chain initiatives with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and aligning operations with organizational goals. This role drives cross-functional projects, manages supplier negotiations, and oversees compliance while implementing advanced planning and forecasting strategies. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Chillicothe, MO facility.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of Planning and scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
  • Experience in lean manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills and strong sense of teamwork
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes procurement strategies to optimize vendor performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Leads supplier negotiations, manages high-value contracts, and ensures supplier compliance with long-term goals.
  • Oversees advanced planning functions, including long-term demand forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Leads planning for smaller sites and integrates their requirements into overall supply chain objectives.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior team members.
  • Works to achieve program, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct impact on departmental results.
  • Established professional; works under limited supervision.
  • Communicates with employees both within and outside of the department on matters that require explanation, interpretation and/or advising; may communicate with external clients or partners depending upon the job function/organization.
  • Responsible for making moderate improvements of programs, processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team.
