Requirements

  • 2+ years of service contract sales experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and terminology is highly desirable
  • HVAC experience is a plus
  • Good knowledge of HVAC systems and all makes, including DX, heat pumps, and water cooled systems, is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Growing the planned maintenance agreement customer base
  • Connecting with new and existing customers
  • Educating customers on the value of preventative maintenance
  • Preparing service proposals
  • Building long-term relationships with homeowners, property managers, facility managers, and business owners
  • Prospecting, cold calling, networking, following up on referrals, and generating new leads
  • Contacting new and existing customers to understand their needs and explain how products and services can help
  • Building relationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners, and homeowners
  • Negotiating pricing
  • Answering customer questions
  • Supporting post-sale satisfaction
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales goals
  • Presenting planned maintenance programs and explaining benefits such as energy efficiency, extended equipment life, and reduced downtime
  • Conducting on-site evaluations of HVAC equipment
  • Preparing tailored service proposals
  • Staying informed on HVAC products, industry trends, and competitor offerings
  • Preparing pricing, proposals, and contract documents in partnership with service and estimating teams
  • Maintaining CRM activity, prospects, follow-ups, and customer records accurately
  • Working closely with service, operations, call center, estimating, and leadership teams
