About The Position

The Canadian Cancer Society works tirelessly to save lives, improve lives and drive collective action against cancer. Together, with patients, volunteers, donors and communities across the country, they raise funds to invest in transformative cancer research, provide a caring support system for everyone affected by cancer, and advocate to governments to create a healthier future for all. This role will help transform the future of cancer by contributing to the development and execution of the Planned Giving lead generation strategy. This includes executing lead generation tactics through various digital and direct response channels, such as direct mail, social media, digital advertising, and relationship management phone campaigns. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Supporter Engagement team, Estate and Gift Planning team, and other internal stakeholders to increase long-term revenue in support of CCS’s strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • More than 1 year of job-related experience in similar positions.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Strong experience in digital marketing tactics including email, digital advertising, and donor journey development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to set priorities, demonstrate a positive attitude, troubleshoot and problem solve with minimal guidance using sound judgement.
  • English is required.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of regular office hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma/degree in a related field such as Marketing is a strong preference.
  • French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations.
  • Valid Driver’s License an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Planned Giving Lead Generation and Mid-Level Giving on the execution of Planned Giving lead generation campaigns and tactics to foster long term revenue growth.
  • Work in partnership with Sr. Manager, Planned Giving Lead Generation and Mid-Level Giving on special campaigns, such as Leave a Legacy Month, including liaising with external partners and agencies.
  • Support the optimization of lead generation processes.
  • Aid logistical aspects of Planned Giving lead generation events.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor lead generation dashboards and reports, continually identifying opportunities for optimization and resolving discrepancies with data.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure all campaigns are executed, tracked and reviewed successfully.
  • Work with Data and Digital teams on data-related tasks such as list requests, testing and integrations.
  • Process and track invoice payments.
  • Fulfil communications plan and monitoring key performance metrics for the cultivation of leads to commitments.
  • Create resources for the Supporter Engagement Department to cultivate leads generated.
