About The Position

The Supply Planner’s main responsibilities are to ensure optimal inventory levels in order to meet customer needs while respecting internal constraints in a highly seasonal industry. The role is also responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the procurement process for products supplied by assigned vendors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of previous experience in supply planning or inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.

  • Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to interpret demand data and optimize inventory levels through quantitative analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy in planning, scheduling, and inventory management to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with supply chain, operations, logistics, and sales teams.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability: ability to react quickly to supply chain disruptions, demand fluctuations, and unforeseen events.
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of inventory management tools and planning software (SAP IBP, Power BI, Excel, etc.).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt).
  • Mandatory bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and optimize supply plans using SAP (IBP modules).
  • Ensure product availability by managing supply flows while respecting timelines, capacities, and operational constraints based on forecasts.
  • Execute purchase orders and ensure rigorous follow-up on supplier confirmations and goods receipts.
  • Update and adjust planning parameters (MRP, lead time, MOQ, safety stock) in SAP.
  • Actively contribute to reducing inventory-related costs and improving inventory turnover.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze variances, and anticipate risks of stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Track Supply Chain KPIs (service level, coverage, inventory levels, supplier reliability).
  • Serve as the main point of contact with suppliers for all purchasing-related matters.
  • Ensure the accuracy of product descriptions and acquisition prices in the system.
  • Work closely with planners, merchandisers, and distributors regarding purchased products and strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with operations to respect internal and external warehousing capacities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to keep them informed about inventory status, potential problematic items, and necessary improvements to meet customer needs.
  • Oversee the organization of stock transfers between warehouses in different regions in collaboration with distributors.
  • Propose solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, reliability, and fluidity of supply flows.
  • Perform all other related tasks.
