About The Position
Hammond Lumber Company is seeking a Planer Mill Worker to join their team at the Belgrade, Maine location. This role involves handling lumber, maintaining the mill, operating equipment, and assisting with facility upkeep. The position offers a full-time schedule with a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Availability for Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Fridays 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Stack, tally, wrap, and package lumber.
- Maintain a clean mill environment.
- Assist with maintenance of the facility.
- Operate forklifts and tilt hoist.
- Learn to operate machinery within the mill.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
