About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Plan Examiner, the intern will conduct research for the Plan Examination team, Project Advocates, and Code and Zoning Specialists. The intern will research Zoning Resolution for zoning challenges and present findings to the Borough Commissioner’s Office and/or Chief Plan Examiner. The intern will participate in monthly staff training sessions, assist the Chief Plan Examiner in researching ongoing DOB issues and prepare training materials under the Chief’s guidance. The intern will also prepare business correspondence and official DOB letters for the Borough Commissioner’s Office, and assist with tracking, time management, and technical presentations.

Requirements

• Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
• Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.

• Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
• Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
• Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
