About The Position

The Plan Document Support Specialist will be responsible for preparing and maintaining third-party administered retirement plan documents, including amendments and restatements, for a high-volume client portfolio. This role provides support in responding to plan document-related questions and issues, assists with the design, customization, and modification of retirement plan documents, and supports retirement plan compliance activities such as IRS submissions, plan amendments, restatements, and terminations. The specialist will also assist with researching and resolving technical questions and issues related to ERISA and plan document provisions, collaborate effectively with internal business partners, and maintain accurate records. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least three years of professional, retirement plan technical and compliance experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and professional standards
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
  • Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
  • Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
  • Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
  • Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' of experience in TPA Plan Document Support preferred
  • Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation, or designation in progress is a plus
  • Proficiency with FT Williams (FTW)
  • Foundational knowledge of retirement plan regulations, plan document provisions, and defined benefit and defined contribution plans
  • Pursuing Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) designation
  • Ability to travel as necessary
