About The Position

Imagine360 is seeking a Plan Design Specialist to join the team! The Junior Plan Design Specialist supports the development, modeling, and execution of health plan designs for self‑funded employer groups. The output of this role is critical to our ability to meet the needs of our sales efforts and the success of our client's health plan designs that make healthcare more affordable. This role partners closely with the Director of Plan Design, Sales, Account Management, and Implementation teams to support proposals, renewals, and plan builds. This is a learning‑focused role designed to build foundational expertise in plan design strategy, alternative health plan models, and operational execution while taking ownership of defined, repeatable components of the plan design process.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare, benefits administration, insurance, analytics, or related fields (relevant internships or entry‑level roles acceptable)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and review of plan designs under the guidance of senior team members, including: Reference‑Based Pricing (RBP) designs, PPO, narrow network, and hybrid plans, Incentive and steerage‑based benefit structures.
  • Assist with setting up plan design options, differentials, and benefit comparisons.
  • Apply established plan design standards, templates, and guardrails consistently.
  • Prepare plan design summaries and supporting materials for proposals and renewals.
  • Aid in the development of solutions that help us scale this function to manage increasing volumes.
  • Run plan design scenarios and savings comparisons using approved tools and spreadsheets.
  • Assist in evaluating: Cost impact, Member disruption, Competitive positioning.
  • Build foundational knowledge of: Self‑funded plan structures, including Stop Loss. Alternative cost containment strategies. Regulatory considerations impacting plan design.
  • Contribute to process documentation, templates, and checklists.
